Obtaining Information from the Board

OBTAINING INFORMATION FROM THE BOARD

Much of the information contained in the files of the Board of Medical Examiners is public information, and is therefore available upon request. The fee for obtaining photocopies of these documents is $.25 per page. Any request for photocopies of public documents can be submitted to the Board by email, in writing, or via telephone.

Although much of the information in the Board's files is public information, the records and the proceedings of the Board's investigative panels are confidential. Consequently, information pertaining to complaints which did not result in formal disciplinary proceedings, or investigative materials which have not been introduced into the record in formal disciplinary proceedings, are not available to the public.
