Mission Statement

The North Dakota State Board of Medical Examiners is the state agency responsible for the licensure and discipline of all physicians (M.D.'s and D.O.'s) and all physician assistants who practice medicine in North Dakota. The Board's mission is to protect the public's health, safety and welfare by regulating the practice of medicine, thereby ensuring quality health care for the citizens of this state.
